Women for 50% have one raison d’être: gender parity in the New Brunswick Legislature. Coming together, in a non-partisan way, as a group of strong leaders with different backgrounds; business, political and social strongly believing that we could and would make a difference.

Founded in 2001, WIL delivers inspirational programs that bring women together to collaborate in the development of their leadership skills and creates positive change in the future of women’s leadership.

The Women’s Equality Branch was created, within the Executive Council Office, to promote gender equality and reduce systemic discrimination, to provide advice and support women’s issues to the Minister responsible for Women’s Equality as well as to departments of government, and to coordinate the implementation of the government’s actions and initiatives in the areas of women’s personal, economic and social security.
